I hate his cover of it but it's not as bad as others who've fucked up P's songs, so I'll give him that...

Other than Meli'sa Morgan, Chaka Khan and Stephanie Mills, I'm not too thrilled about other artists attempt in covering Prince's music.

I liked it. It's one of the better covers...if that's saying much.
I still wanna pass a federal law that only allows Chaka Khan to cover his songs, though.

That's true. Most Prince covers are God-Awful...Ginuine comes to mind. But I can listen to D'Angelo and not think "oooh noo, he's covering Prince!!!"

I actually like it. And I normally don't like other peoples' attempts to cover P's songs. This and Stephanie Mills' cover of "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore" are the only two off the top of my head that don't make me cringe and put my teeth on edge.

I like it. It's loose, gritty and retains the funk of the original. It has rock with some killer drums and a "boys in the studio" feel that I like.

It's not bad. I remember hearing it in the supermarket with my mom and I thought it was Prince for a second. Cool cover,

I still think Sinead did the best Prince cover ever.

Haven't heard this, but D'Angelo's cover of Smokey's "Cruising" was great, so he's got form when it comes to covering his favourites.
