So true. I should tell that to a couple of dumbasses that I know "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

cool thread
flamin' great song! mike & prince were so damn cool! What happened to them. They became charicatures of themselves! Ambition ruins and has ruined them. I was a little anti mike back in the day, but 200 percent prince. Now , I realise they were both great. Prince lasted a lot longer! But did Mike burn brighter? small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

"Billie Jean is always talking
When nobody else is talking Telling lies and rubbing shoulders So they called her a mouth a MOTOR!" I think we could relate. There's been girls (and guys) talking bullshit and yet no one knows what the hell he/she's saying because they just flabbin' their gums.

This year is Mike's 45th year in show business and this year is Prince's 30th We're probably won't see 2 individuals that talented and creative ever again "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I nearly beat down my former co-worker for that shit 2 weeks ago but hitting a woman isn't right.....so I probably would've had one of my homegirls do it for me "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. I've always thought the music and lyrics to be somewhat trite, like a lot of MJ songs. But, like JB, Mike has a way of putting so much soul to it that you don't really focus on it. Having said that:
1. Lead Vocals--I love the tone and emotion of his voice on this song. Totally sets the tone for a much edgier album than OTW. 2. Vocal Arrangements-- Love the call and response style of the lyrics, the way the end phrases are stacked as well as the "yeah-yeah"s. 3. The high-hats! 4. The guitar solo. 5. The ad-libs at the end, only because Mike sounds hilarious, like he's losing his damned mind. Prophetic, actually. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
