Janelle Monet...Bad Boy REcords new artist 
This is a underground artist supposedly who started off with Big Boi and then Puffy just signed her. They had a preview of one of her live shows on BET and the girl look WILD! Kinda has a New Wave, Crazy Prince style to her. 
I cannot wait for her to come out. Anyone know about her? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I freakin love her!!! check out the first suite of the album. Her album is gonna be released in 4 different suites or parts. each contains about 4-5 tracks. I honestly think she's gonna be the biggest thing in music before the year is out. She's got it all. | |

Someone posted up a thread about her before and I checked out her myspace stuff and sent her a message and she replied back! Too bad she picked working with Puffy. You know how he is with his artists.  I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

She's pretty unique. Listening to her first album then her latest EP, she's consistent with changing her styles and look "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world." | |

Eh she's influnced by Prince by i'd say far from Prince wanna-be!! She's imo the most unique artist i've seen in awhile. Most artist dont release thier debut album as 4 part album. Or come up with unique charcters for her music, full with thier own planets. boyfriends and what nots. I suggest can on the train before it becomes a band waggon. You'll look cooler. | |
