i usually find that if i buy two tix for a cheap show through ticketmaster, i can buy a third ticket for the same price i have to pay in service charges. THAT is just ridiculous. disbelief
And you know what? If you go to an outlet, it's no cheaper. I don't understand a convenience fee while I'm standing right there at the tickmaster box office.

i have good luck if i go straight to the venue. whenever there was a show at the metro or the vic, i would always go straight to the box office and never have to pay more than a buck for service charges (if that). but yeah, ticketbastard box office outlets are no better than buying from them online. what a racket.

unfortunately, working nights means i have to be VERY selective with my PTO, and i already have some vacations scheduled between now and august. plus, they're playing at a really shitty venue and it would take a LOT for me to go back to see a show there. just too many negative factors, unfortunately. sad

Oh hell no, I could never work nights if it meant missing shows. That's the only time I get out of the house!

The wrong act. lol

I bought a ticket for The Raveonettes/Nicole Atkins because I really like both of those artists. Then there was a Donnas show announced for the same night so I gave my Raveonettes ticket to a co-worker and bought a ticket to the Donnas show since I hadn't seen them in years while I had seen both The Raveonettes and Nicole Atkins a few months earlier. Then PJ Harvey announced a show for that same night! pissed I had already given away one ticket so I missed the PJ show and saw The Donnas. The Donnas show was good, but I'm sure the PJ show was better. neutral

I have done two shows at separate venues in one night before. The adrenaline surge I feel racing to the second show after the first one ends is great. lol

Bad timing indeed. I'm already missing Duffy and Van Hunt in the next month because I have other shows booked on the nights they are playing.

Tonight is Gnarls Barkley/Santogold. dancing jig
