"7" Prince
"Love & Anger" Kate Bush "Love is Stronger than Death" The The (it helped me get through the loss of my father) Love Is Stronger Than Death LoveLoveLove LoveLoveLove Me & my friend were walking In the cold light of mourning. Tears may blind the eyes but the soul is not deceived In this world even winter ain't what it seems. Here come the blue skies Here comes springtime. When the rivers run high & the tears run dry. When everything that dies. Shall rise. LoveLoveLove is stronger than death. LoveLoveLove is stronger than death. In our lives we hunger for those we cannot touch. All the thoughts unuttered & all the feelings unexpressed Play upon our hearts like the mist upon our breath. But, awoken by grief, our spirits speak "How could you believe that the life within the seed that grew arms that reached And a heart that beat. And lips that smiled And eyes that cried. Could ever die?" Here come the blue skies Here comes springtime. When the rivers run high & the tears run dry. When everything that dies. Shall rise. LoveLoveLove is stronger than death. LoveLoveLove is stronger than death. Shall rise. Shall rise. Shall rise. Shall rise. [This message was edited Fri Nov 1 8:40:30 PST 2002 by applekisses]

I've only come across a few songs that could make me weepy.
U2's "With Or Without You" is the most affecting for me. Especially the instrumental ending. Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful". Pretty much any version of "Many Rivers To Cross". Oddly enough, Billy Joel's "Piano Man" is actaully quite a sad song and can affect me. Elton John's "Sacrifice". From Prince, maybe "The Beautiful Ones". Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven" is a well-known tear jerker. Extreme's "More Than Words" Phil Collins "Groovy Kind Of Love"

Sometimes James Brown Ballads make me cry. Like"Prisoner of Love", "Like it is,Like it was" also "Sometime". James Brown does sing some good ole ballads.

OK. I gotta add :
GOD by Prince. I am agnostic. But, OMG this song pulls the tears out of me everytime. Where ever that song came from...words cant describe it. Plus, when I think about the 40 minute version at the celebration this past year...and our group of people all balling in the back row, well, its a moment not to be soon forgotten. or EVER for that matter. Rio, Endo, Carriempls, TRON, Moonbeam, Aaron Y'all are my kitties I am getting teary eyed... i better quit.
