Great! That song and Donna deserve to be #1. It would be something if Donna became HUGE again. That's a comeback that I would love to see happen. A man can dream right? I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I see Madonna's next dance number one is getting ready to enter the charts. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

That's great news! It's one of the better dance songs I've heard in a long time. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

The woman is damn near sixty and has been a presence on those charts just about anytime she releases a single. It's not just a sort of novelty thing like Shirley Bassey's lastest few releases (although her cover of "Get This Party Started" is pretty damn good after seeing the video).
Donna's last few did well on there as well. I think her last number one might have been from the "Live and More Encore"....actually, I wouldn't be surprised if both "I Will Go With You" and "Love Is the Healer" topped it. Donna rocks and something like "Stamp Your Feet" is almost a shoe in for topping the dance charts if not making some impact on the pop if promoted decently.

So with this accomplishment, I think Donna's the only artist to have number-one hits on the dance chart in FOUR DECADES (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s)! And she's constantly charted with a dance record. She's the QUEEN of the clubs.

I was going to respond to the Madonna thing but this thread should be about Donna....cause I'm certainly looking forward to that album more. [Edited 4/6/08 18:08pm]

[Edited 4/6/08 18:08pm] I wanted to say something about that but I didn't want to take it there. Thank you for saying it. For God's sake, not everything has to be about Madonna. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Where did you find this info? Just wondering cause I'm looking at Allmusic.com and they include both 'Four Seasons Of Love" and "Once Upon A Time" as full albums that are ranked number one. And "Wasted" is a number one "disco single". What is that...My head hurts! I was just going to see how many other singles she had that ranked on that chart...Quite a few others including songs that almost got to the top recently like "I Got Your Love", "You're So Beautiful" and "Power Of One" (shockingly, her version of "Power Of Love" which was remixed and sounded great in the original cover from the Luther tribute, but I guess it didn't get a club release?). Also, it's pretty surprising that none of her eighties tracks (I mean real eighties tracks...not "Sunset People") topped this chart. "She Works Hard For the Money" didn't! I guess "This Time. I Know It's For Real" only peaked at 5! The eighties were really competitive for dance singles, I guess...even Donna Summer couldn't really cute it with her safer sound. And if "Stamp Your Feet" doesn't top the dance charts, I'll be very surprised. If anything, it will only suffer from being too pop but I'm sure remixers would love to get their hands on it (and hopefully not butcher it). [Edited 4/7/08 6:43am]

[Edited 4/7/08 6:43am] Well this is where things get complicated. See Billboard talks about how there was a disco chart and dance club chart (which doesn't make sense), well some songs/albums made it to number-one on the DISCO chart while on the dance club chart, things were a LITTLE different, lol. To be honest, I feel like her "disco" number-ones should be added but since some of the #1's were from ALBUMS, maybe that's why they don't count, I don't know. If I had my way, Donna right now would have 22 #1's.
