Yeah. Originally, "Hit Me Baby One More Time" was written for them, but they turned it down, so it went to Britney Spears. I don't care how big of a hit that song was, it would have sounded mad stupid for them to sing a song like that with the image they chose to promote. They were big on being viewed as strong and independent females. "My lonliness is killing me" just would have sounded retarded coming from them, IMO.

Yeah, I never got the appeal of that song. The lyrics are simple and the beat is mediocre.
