They're coming to the Detroit area this summer--I'm thinking about getting tickets. Anyone seen them live recently? I've never seen them before and want to check them out--and New Edition, if NE starts touring again (rumors say they're planning on it). Good show, or should I skip it?

good showmanship, but their vocals are really starting to slack off. wanya can still bring the fire in most cases, but nathan and shawn can't sustain throughout the whole show..and BTW they sing to backing trax, not a live band, for what it's worth. oh, and they eliminate mike's parts from all the songs, so you get trunctuated versions of their biggest songs.

Thanks! I guess I'll go, then! Not too happy 'bout the backing tracks--being a musician myself, I'm always down for live instruments. Based on what I've been seeing on YouTube, New Edition uses both.

Saw them two summers ago and they sounded GREAT!

When I saw them...it was with a BAND....no trax so I guess it depends on where you seen them.

yeah a couple summers ago at the BBking theatre in NY- it was good- no live music though
