I have his 4-CD box set that was released in 1990.
I have his 1976 'Blue Moves' double album on CD. I have 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' on CD,which many fans consider his best album. I have a few hits compilations,as well. I've been wanting to explore his catalog a little more, and get some of the albums I don't have.'Caribou' might be the next album that I get.

I have every single one of his studio albums. And the box set To Be Continued. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Elton is an amazing musician. His work from the late 60's to mid-90's is awesome!

I only have the 2 CD set of his hits "Greatest Hits 1970-2002". I'm sure many fans could argue about what's missing (anybody with a career that distinguished cannot have their hits boiled down to 2 discs) but I found it to be filled with all the essentials. I really love it but I have to say, not enough to get into studio albums. Or maybe just not yet.
Slightly off topic, he apparently did a song for Howard Stern about 20 years ago and it is hilarious. Its just on a piano and it's called "Why Isn't Howard Stern On TV"... It's funny because it's live and there are times when the audience cheers loudly (like when he says the title) but the lines I love the most are "Well Oprah Winfrey's fat/Phil Donahue can just take a hike". The Oprah line is so unexpected and you know he has probably done her show in those 20 years (not so much with Stern). And it's a mean line, but it's the way he sings it. Hilarious. Here is the link. I love this song. http://www.youtube.com/wa...SYapBwYPkE [Edited 4/8/08 7:40am]

I was about to say, it's kind of weird how that happens when you become a fan of someone and you end up buying their newer albums as they come out but don't own the classics ("Yellow Brick Road", for instance). I become a Bowie fans years ago but only recently (last year, maybe) did I buy "Ziggy Stardust" and "Hunky Dory". I can't stop listening to that Howard Stern song even though I didn't listen to the show today, yet.
