Those puppets in the original video used to scare me as a child.

Dude with the curly fro used to remind me of that black ventriloquist who had the dummy named Chester.

Hush! you too? falloff

The helium sound effects during the doll scene used to put a mean scare on a sista disbelief lol

The song is addictive though,,,,if I'm not mistaken, both of them are still married and own a radio station in Texas hmmm which I thought was very cool.

Alicia sat next to me at the Stevie Wonder concert this Fall. I was kind of in awe of her (even though she only had 2 big hits).

Gee, I thought I was alone. I remember groovin getting my lil kiddie bouce on, and those cheap scary puppets pop out from behind the speakers. I was afraid of the speakers in our living room. I really that a puppet would pop out from behind them.

Wow, they're still married. Wow!.

I thought that Lester was scary too. And it creeped me out that the ventriloquist dude and the dummy had the same hairstyle.

Oh, the thoughts of a 4yr old.

This song is a straight-up JAM!!! headbang

We recently had a discussion about 80s R&B and I pointed out that the early 80s was superior to the rest of that decade. This is another song that proves my point.

who remembers their other hits?

"Heartbeat" (1983)--- I once did a thread on this song, and Vainandy was the only one who responded, lol.Don't you guys remember this jam?
"Feels So Good" (1983)---it's basically a sequel to "Don't Stop The Music"
"Don't Waste Your Time" (1984)
"Guilty" (1986)
"I Wouldn't Lie To You" (1986)

I remember in spring 1983,they went on tour with labelmates The Gap Band.I wanted to go to that show so badly!

lol Why was it even minorly popular to get those high-pitched voices going? Screama Marie (tA lol) also had the Munchkin chorus in It Must Be Magic.

It's great! It was the first single from their second album....a pulsing, electrofunk R&B track with very clever lyrics...

Don't you know you can't hide pain
cause pain has no brain
And the cardiac arrest
may have been for the best
It was stimulating,regulating,pulsating
sometimes irritating,but...

You make my heart skip a beat everytime I see you
You make my heart skip a beat everytime I see you

The cover made it look like a slow romantic jam. Totally NOT Vainandy material.

I've got both of these on 45s. I love "Feels So Good" especially the remix version which is side two of the 45. Unfortunately, that version on my 45 is scratched.

"Don't Waste Your Time" (1984)

I've got the 12 Inch of this one. Great song.
