Music recommendations

Love all of you and all of your wonderful recommendations for great music. I've always had an affinity towards the British soul sound. Started back in the early 90's with Brand New Heavies, Soul to Soul and Jamiroquai.

Within the last few years you all have lead me to discover Lewis Taylor and Hil St. Soul. I loved them so much I now own all one of their releases.

I tend to overplay records and get tired of them. I'm looking for some new music. Anyone that you can recommend along these lines? biggrin

Surely you've heard Loose Ends? Based on what you've listed, seems up your alley.

I recommend Jamie Lidell's Multiply album if you want something more recent. He's a British singer/songwriter of this generation. His album is electronic with soul and funk overtones, a little different from Jamiroquai in the sense that it doesn't take a lot of cues from disco or more Nile Rodgers inspired fare, but it's danceable nonetheless. Also, he's a worthy balladeer and vocalist sans the compositions. Check out the singles "When I Come Back Around," "Multiply" and "What's The Use."
