Madonna puts huge price tag on Like A Virgin

WELL PAST A VIRGIN: Madonna says she has no desire to perform her early hit songs anymore unless someone pays her millions of dollars.

Madonna will only perform Like A Virgin again for millions of dollars.

The music superstar, who is set to embark on a tour this autumn, is tired of singing her early hits and has no desire to include them in her set lists.

She said: "I'm not sure I can sing Holiday or Like A Virgin ever again.

"I just can't - unless somebody paid me like $US30 million or something. Like if some Russian guy wants me to come to the wedding he's going to have to a 17-year-old, you know it."

Madonna also spoke about troubled singer Britney Spears, and revealed she works out to her new album Blackout.

She added in an interview with New York radio station Z100 FM: "I actually love Britney's new album. I usually work out to her record. I do a combination of Pilates and dance aerobics.

"People need to step off. For real, let's go save her."

The 49-year-old star, who gave Justin Timberlake a vitamin injection in his butt while they were recording the song 4 Minutes after he complained of a cold, insists she asked him to drop his trousers for purely professional reasons.

Madonna said: "First of all, I've seen enough butt. The reason I gave him a
B-12 shot is because we only had a certain amount of days in the studio and I didn't want him to use that as a lame-a** excuse not to come to work.

"It's got nothing to do with butt. I promise you. Listen, I don't need to give him a shot to see his butt!"

Madonna denied her marriage to director Guy Ritchie is in trouble, but admitted the couple have to work hard at their relationship like everyone else.
She said: "We still have to take turns to compromise. It's not easy."

Oh please. This is all cyclical. She performed it on the last tour (awesome versoin, btw!) so now she never wants to do it again. A tour or two will go by and she'll rotate out some past hits in favor of some others, and then she'll be singing LAV and Holiday again. shrug

I hope she retires La Isla Bonita for awhile, though. Great song, but after the last tour, it's obvious there's nothing left to do with it.

no, I think Holiday has to be on her show! i missed it last time... it's one of her signature songs! Also, if he album's supposed to sound like her first album with a hip-hop edge (as JT said), Holiday would suit her newer songs.
On another radio show she wanted them to play Borderline...

I'm tired of "Holiday".Yes,it's a great song, but I don't need to hear it again at one of her concerts.I'd rather she play some songs that she doesn't usually perform alot:

"Dress You Up"
"Deeper and Deeper"
"Borderline"
"Angel"

I always new Madonna was over rated ..this proves it, she can't dance, can't sing, can't act..she very lucky to be where she is right now by showing off her tits..and working with some of the best song writers and producers in the industry..Janet should take note.. lol
Da, Da, Da....Emancipation....Free..don't think I ain't..! London 21 Nights...Clap your hands...you know the rest..

Stuart wanted her to do Like A Virign.

I'm curious to see if he's the Music Diretor again or if she's moved on.

Her voice sounds pretty much the same as it does on her older records. There's no gigantic difference.

He seemed to have some pretty sour grapes in an interview a couple months ago about her going r&b and not including him on her album, so I doubt he'll be going on the road with her. shrug

Yeah,I remember those comments by Stuart. He praised Timbaland but didn't have kind words for Pharrell lol I think he feels that he was pushed aside,in favor of "commercial" producers. He seems kinda bitter.I doubt that he'll be on the next tour.Speaking of the next tour....I wonder what type of band Madonna will use? Now that she's gone the R&B route for this album, she may wanna form an entirely new band to recapture the sound of the album.

yes, I love that. I almost started jumping up and down when I saw it on the DVD (or TV, I guess). I love that version.

I've got that video on my Ipod.

Love everything about that performance,
especially the moment when the guy in the video
tries to kick the horse.

I also remember her saying at some point after the Blonde Ambition tour that she was getting to old to sing Into the Groove, but she did that again during Re-Invention, didn't she?
