she bob, time after time, and money changes everything, and her version of when u were mine are the shit. i also really dig the movie 'vibes' and her song from like 1989 'i drove all night.' i remember being about 6 and being a huge fan but then hearing the true colors album and not really liking any of it.
i hate girls just wanna have fun...everytime that shit comes on at a party or a club and all the females feel the need to shout it at the top of their lungs I can't roll my eyes back far enough in my head and i am forced drink even more heavily than i already have been that night... from what i've heard of her more recent material - i dont' t really dig it...but i like her voice and her musicianship and i think it's awesome what she's done with her latter day touring efforts... i thought her time to make a big comeback was really aroud 93 when she re-did GJWHF in that reggae style for 'too wong foo'...and i remember buying her 12 deadly sins album and really liking most of it...but for some reason it tanked in states i think? I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I'm really looking forward to her new album.
I wish I'd gone to see her New Years Eve in Waikiki. I was so close. But passed. Stupid! "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Someone at work asked if she was a lesbian...
any thoughts? I know she supports gay rights. Whatever, she's one of the best around. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

any thoughts? my only thought about that is that time a bird shit in her mouth while she was performing. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Holy shit her "At Last" concert dvd is bad-ASS. Not at ALL what you think it would be. Watch it NOW. The first 45 seconds alone will make the hair on your arms stand up.
I popped it in out of curiosity at a party a few weeks ago, and by the 3rd song everyone there had gathered in the living room and were amazed. I must have burned 10 copies of her "At Last" album for people in the last 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to her new one, but I'm also wary. I don't like some of the things I've heard about it, and the first song (though I've only heard it twice or so) isn't all that. But DAMN. Check out that dvd!

Hat Full Of Stars is her best album. Most of her best songs were recorded long after her commercial heyday. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

She's straight and has been happily married for 16 years. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

She's got some great songs in the can for that album. Most people seem to agree the best song is "Grab A Hold", but the record company have decided to release a more gay-friendly single instead, even though it's not as good. Here's the song that should be her next single. Even on a messy live recording, the song really shines through. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Here's a performance of the same song from last month in Australia. If there is a more charismatic performer out there at the moment, I have not seen them.

MUCH better hair in that second one for sure. I'm not digging that short-short hair. Good song though. Better than the other one I heard. I feel a bit better about her new album now. Way better than some "Hard Candy" bullshit. Thanks for sharing the vids!

Yeah, I'd love it if she kept that hair for the whole of this year, but knowing Cyndi, she'll probably have a new style within a month. And yeah, it kicks the shit out of that "Hard Candy" crap, don't it? “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”
