MGMT - Prince influence Check out this song by new group MGMT:
http://profile.imeem.com/...tric_feel/ sweet song and sure has a little prince vibe to it. I was reading the review of their album on Allmusic.com and it stated that when asked what their dream producers would be they responded (some what sarcasticly thinking no matter what they wouldn't see any on the list) Prince, Nigel Godrich, Barrack Obama, and NOT Sheryl Crow. ahhaha. but obviously they love the little guy. what do you all think? | |

until recently, i thought "electric feel" was a hot chip song, and i called it "that hot chip song that sounds like 'love sign'." 
of course, hot chip has a huge prince influence, too.  | |

There's a cool song on the MGMT album called "Kids." When I listen to it, there's some slight Prince similarities in the glow of the keyboards on it. Reminds me of "Play In The Sunshine" or more synth-heavy Revolution-era pop fare. | |

of course, hot chip has a huge prince influence, too. oh crap I just listened to "electric feel" and then to "love sign" the chorus is the SAME!!!! Anxiety you got it spot on even my friend who listen with me was like oh crap can they do that?? hahaha | |

actually and I know people will probably laugh at me but I thought "electric feel" sounded exactly like Prince meets Toto and some how ended up being cool.  | |
