He's always been WAY too into Prince. rolleyes

Thanks so you, Sextonseven and Justin UK, I have killer B-side collections of at least 3 artists clapping PJ, Tori and Kylie Minogue. Unfortunately for me, I never got into b-sides because the music stores I grew up around and shopped at, didn't keep stock of b-sides of my favorite artists, or there were just a few selections. Then when I started shopping Indie, the damn places started closing down confused I missed out on the B-side era but thanks to you guys I have lots more musical worlds to experience touched

Oh, was listening to PJ singles over the weekend and craved my favorite Tori album. I'm sure you can guess which one it is mushy

In high school and college, I was a freak about collecting every corresponding single with b-sides and remixes for every album I bought to get a proper overview of the artist during that time. From Prince to Lisa Stansfield to Sonic Youth to U2, there were no exceptions. I'd rerecord the albums with all the extras included turning them sometimes into two-hour epics. nuts

Now that I'm trying to condense my music collection as much as possible, a lot of those old singles by artists I'm not so into anymore have been sold on ebay.

I don't think Tori has released any bonus tracks since then. Instead she's gone overboard with the live shows.

Which reminds me, I should download at least one live show from her last tour from the Tori store as this is that last day they will be available.

B-sides I don't know, but Elvis Costello has a million great outtakes & alternate versions.

It began with Taking Liberties, and now all the reissues of his cd's have additional discs of alternate & extra songs.

Dammit, I logged off and didn't see your post and already bought a Pip show from Boston. mad

The Chicago show is when Pip sang that killer version of "Me And A Gun", right? Crap. It seems like such a waste to buy TWO shows by the same persona. neutral

i entirely agree with the cure and gorilaz.

nick cave and the bad seeds anyone?

also, though they are new...the guillemots have already racked up a strong set of amazing (and at times terribly beautiful) b-sides; if you havent heard of them, do yourself a favor and check them out.

the very unknown artist color theory (think of a piano synth pop driven martin gore of depeche mode and thats who youd get) is also a good b-sides man
Wouldn't you love to love me?

Honestly, the shows are almost all so stellar that you can't really go wrong with any of them.

And by most accounts the 2 that you purchased are among most fan's top 5 of the tour by those that purchased and/or attended those shows.

So you made really good choices.

I'm still getting tons of mileage out of these. For me, this was a really special album and an even more special tour. This was Tori at the height of her powers with playing, singing, intereaction with her band, pushing herself with setlists, theatrics, costuming, trying new things. I reckon we'll never see the likes of it again from her and I'm so glad that there's a good document of it. Cannot wait for the DVD.

The freakiest, most rockingest, most fucked up show she's ever done! woot!

And that's just Pip's set. Wait'll you get into the "Liquid Diamonds" and "Caught A Lite Sneeze" territory.
