In high school and college, I was a freak about collecting every corresponding single with b-sides and remixes for every album I bought to get a proper overview of the artist during that time. From Prince to Lisa Stansfield to Sonic Youth to U2, there were no exceptions. I'd rerecord the albums with all the extras included turning them sometimes into two-hour epics.

Now that I'm trying to condense my music collection as much as possible, a lot of those old singles by artists I'm not so into anymore have been sold on ebay.

It began with Taking Liberties, and now all the reissues of his cd's have additional discs of alternate & extra songs.

also, though they are new...the guillemots have already racked up a strong set of amazing (and at times terribly beautiful) b-sides; if you havent heard of them, do yourself a favor and check them out.

the very unknown artist color theory (think of a piano synth pop driven martin gore of depeche mode and thats who youd get) is also a good b-sides man

Beck has tons of B-sides. I'd hate to collect all of him!!

So you made really good choices.

I'm still getting tons of mileage out of these. For me, this was a really special album and an even more special tour. This was Tori at the height of her powers with playing, singing, intereaction with her band, pushing herself with setlists, theatrics, costuming, trying new things. I reckon we'll never see the likes of it again from her and I'm so glad that there's a good document of it. Cannot wait for the DVD.
