Timbaland to work with the Sugababes...sad news! ;(
nothing is sacred! Rapper TIMBALAND has vowed to give British pop band SUGABABES a musical makeover after he was introduced to the group while working with MADONNA and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE. The Apologize hitmaker met the girlband when he was producing Madonna's latest single with Timberlake at a London recording studio and got chatting to the singers during meal breaks. Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah is delighted to have been approached by the 37-year-old, but was disappointed not to have bumped into the Like A Virgin hitmaker. She says, "Timberland (is) keen on us. He actually asked us to do stuff with him before. We ended up spending a lot of time with him and Justin last year. We'd have lunch and dinner together in between recordings. "They were great company - very funny. We couldn't get any Madonna goss out of them, though. "They were secretive about her new music. I knew she was with them but I never saw her." Thanks: Emelle [Edited 3/26/08 17:05pm]

Just as long as he stays away from GIRLS ALOUD, its ok, he has no clue on "producing" hes a beat layer, big difference, but he his not good at bringing out something amazing from artists and make them different from one another. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

They're a picture perfect trio of lasses that started off with an interesting sound and an interesting look, only to successfully manage becoming the top pop drivel superstargirl band du jour in the EU. This of course after the pre-requisite two line-up changes, dumbing down their music, and cheapening their look as much as possible.

Timbaland and Stevie is a no go. The Sugababes are nothing sacred they will be glad to work with him and have a new hit.

You got that right. Certain things shouldn't be attempted. No need to tamper with perfection. graecophilos said: The Sugababes are nothing sacred they will be glad to work with him and have a new hit.
Of course, with pop oriented artists, he has a proven track record in that arena.

Stevie has always produced himself. Can't see why he's now working with a producer.I wonder if Motown is putting pressure on him?
