Online EPs More Often VS Full Length Albums One of my favorite artists, Michael Damian released a new EP on iTunes this week. There won't be any physical CDs printed. While I'm thrilled with the new songs, it got me once again to thinking about what I've debated with friends in the past. (Cinnie, where you at?)
Is it better to get Online EPS more frequently or full length albums every few years? Forget about the media-product artists like Beyonce for a second. By and large, most artists don't release new music every hour. So which is better? Well personally, I still prefer full length albums. I think that is because, I like hearing an artists mindset/style as it progresses. I feel like with these EPs, and "Singles" that hop up on iTunes, we as fans miss out on other songs, that would normally be featured on albums. I know the argument against my thinking will go something like this, "You are getting more music, more often, so it is honestly better." I understand this, and agree, it is nice to get more music. However, it just isn't the same for me. It isn't the same as going to the CD store, to reading the lyrics and holding a PHYSICAL CD. I wish there was a way to BUY these EPs physically. However, that would defeat the purpose I suppose. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

well, buying things online, whether they are EPs or LPs, seems to be the main issue when you decide which choice you prefer.
i think most stuff is going to be digital eventually, so just take that part of the equation and look at what u enjoy more. less music more often or more music less often | |
