I've seen Gino live a few times and he certainly was great back in the day. He still sounds pretty good today too.

the guy struck a chord in me
when I saw Kanye had sampled him
on his first project...

where should I start with his music?
they have tons of his stuff

I dont have any of his records..I know he used to appear on Soul Train back in the days..But I always thought he was kinda corny..I had no idea that his band and live show were tight like this tho'

I had a chance to see him live back in the '70s. My friend's mom had a HUGE crush on him and so she bought tickets to his show at Cobo Arena and took us, too. I was surprised, the show was off the hook! Although Gino can't dance to save his life. lol But that VOICE! "Brother to Brother" was/is one of my favorite albums. I was so bummed that I missed him when he came to Detroit a couple of years ago. I won't miss him again! And yes, his voice has held up well over the years (check some of the recent YouTube performances).

Gino Vannelli is an amazing artist.I always liked his 1978 hit "I Just Wannna Stop" but in recent years,I started getting into his other albums.I like what I've heard so far.

He's so good live nod. And his band is always top notch. Like another orger mentioned though, his dance moves are a little shaky though lol . You might start to giggle a little when their smack in the middle of doing some hardcore fusion and he busts out the "shaky leg-spread eagle move" lol. Still a great live show he puts on, though cool
