Hercules & Love Affair featuring Antony Hegarty Thank you, Miguel, for hipping me to this; it's amazing.
A DJ teaming up with Antony Hegarty to create something that is so awfully danceable it is crazy. The entire album is rocking my world.

I'm both compelled and repulsed by Antony Hegarty. His voice is eerie and it draws me in. But it's maybe a bit too eerie and makes me feel icky at the same time. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Ah, I understand. But I always loved non-common voices, like Nina Hagen and Björk. I once described it as my love for wailing women. I suppose Antony fits right in. I love how his voice can bring back old era's to life, by singing old standards, but also how hi voice totally fits in with dance music. Amazing.

I hated it for a long time. But there's a thin line between love and hate. Too bad when I look at him I get all queasy again. Until I was at a fashion presentation in The Netherlands and he performed there. He made me fucking cry, so beautiful was the performance. I do not care a THING about what he looks like. I love him for his views on fashion.
