Favorite lead singer named Larry Alright funk fans. It's time to have some fun.
Vote for your favorite lead singer named Larry. I got 4. I will tally up the votes on Friday or if the thread dies shortly before then. I have four Larry's to vote for. All of them are great so don't take it too seriously or do too much thinkin. This is just for fun. Larry"slap bass"Graham Profile:Played bass for the legendary sly & the family stone before forming his own band Graham Central Station and becoming a solo artist in his own right. Notable songs: Why have i lost you, Sparkle, I just wanna be, shake your pants, flirt,keep it hot, she's strange,single life,candy, word up Larry"Owww"Dodson Profile:Was a member of the stax group the temprees in the late 60's before joining the barkays as lead singer in 1970 and transforming the former stax house band from an instrumental outfit into a outrageous funk band complete with blonde wigs and some of the funkiest outfits known to man. And you know this man. I was close to voting for the
underdog larry rockstar marshall because i have been listening to a lot of mass production lately and i dig his vocal style but i think larry dodson had the most unique vocal style. His hard gritty vocals complemented the barkays funk jams very well especially live. I do vote for larry dodson but i understand larry blackmon getting the most votes here due to the height of cameo's popularity across the board in the mid 80's. Don't laugh at my funk
