Hacienda Heights Hacienda Heights is a subdivision in Los Angleles. I believe it's in Southeast LA. WHat's the demographics, Is it white, black,or mostly mexican? Is it innercity or suburban? The reason I'm asking this is cause this where recording artist Fergie is from. Working up a purple sweat. | |

Hacienda Heights is basically a middle class suburb. It's in the same league with places like Whittier, Walnut, La Mirada, Diamond Bar, etc. Ethnically, it's a mixture of Asian (mostly Chinese), hispanic and some white with a very small black population. Mainly Hacienda Heights -- and the surrounding area -- is known for having a pretty substantial Asian-American population. There's a heavy upper-middle class Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean presence in that area. It's a bedroom community where families raise kids pretty much. Nothing goes on there. I used to visit music stores in the area and you mostly either saw kids dressed in hip hop gear and TONS of emo kids (American Idol's Danny Noriega totally sported that 'suburban teenager' look that many of the kids in the Hacienda area sport. (He's from Azuza which is another suburban LA town further down the way)... Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |

Exactly as Mara stated and I'll add there's a good mix of bi-racial kids out here. Sometimes you can't even tell original ethnicities. Fergie defintely looks like something that would pop outta here. Jessica Alba is from La Verne which is way on the other side of the fwys with similar demographics. test | |

From my understanding there are alotof hispanics in suburban southern californian cities. Like The Valley I hear is mostly mexican. Is it like barrio mexican or degreed middle income latinos? Working up a purple sweat. | |

Depends on which neigborhood you're stalking. SFV has a load of Mexicans, but there's a bunch of Cubans, El Salvadoreans Belizeans, Brazilians, Peruvians etc etc out here, too. It's a bit more "barrio" in the northeastern parts of the city like East LA, Sylmar San Fernando and Pacoima and then to the southeast like Bell, Cudahy and Huntington Park. test | |

Wearing mall fashion, listening to MTV-popular music, driving Honda and other assorted Japanese compact cars, it's completely L.A. suburbia. | |

Also, Downey, Bell Gardens, South Gate, Pico Rivera and Norwalk have a healthy number of middle class latino families. Downey, in particular, has an upper middle class latino presence. ...
