there is such a thing as jazz-rock? and if so.. what artist would fall under this genre? i was thinking about this, weird juxtaposition? | |

What do you define as jazz? What do you define as rock?
If you define jazz as often improvised, played by highly talented musicians in any beat that doesn't end in 4. And if you define rock as electric guitar distortion and driving drums that make you want to mosh.... then the first group that would come to my mind is Mahavishnu Orchestra.
