Mariah's "lead the way" is 20 seconds? i dont think so, on the Guiness Book of longest notes on record she isnt even listed ( and we know she wants those RECORDS), the leader is Morten Harket of a-Ha for their 2000 song "summer moved on" the note is 21.7 seconds long, and in concert (LIVE no back tracks like other people use) the note has been clocked at 24 seconds and actually rises 3 times in notes getting higher, which shows total vocal power and breathing power, to be able to not stop and raise the note.

The term 'soprano' refers to a female. Males who sing in high register are countertenors or sopranists.

I couldn't remember the term for males offhand, sorry.

Highest note: C6, B-b5 (In her song 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody')
Lowest note: C3, E3
Vocal range: 5 octaves (C3-C6)

Falsetto.

That's a whole nother thang lol
Males singing in high register are not necessarily singing in falsetto wink
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

You mean like a Countertenor? It's difficult to classify men because falsetto and modal register are completely separately defined.

I think you would classify Prince as a Leggero tenor?

WELL IF janet is has a 3 octave.. then i have a 4.5 octave...

and who knows about those octave notes... it doesn't matter to me.. as long as it sounds good.. and it doesn't hurt my ears...

you skipped whitney houston... whom i happen to be listening to right now...
