gil scott heron-pieces of a man-a non prince music appreciation

got this album approx 6 months ago solely due to the fact that some cat here posted a link to "lady day and john coltrane"

eek i was hooked-i played that song constantly til my ears bled(and of course till amazon sent me the album)

lyrically and musically the mans a genius

it goes without his saying any man whom can pen "the revolution" is a poet to be reckoned

and this album is THE TRUTH-it is just brilliant

so thanks to the cat who posted that link(sorry i cant recall whom it was)

Slightly less political than his previous effort, Bridges has Gil singing more than 'rapping'. It's great from beginning to end woot!
Highlights include

Hello Sunday Hello Road
Racetrack In France
We've Almost Lost Detroit

As far as I know, Bridges is NOT available on CD.
There are some cuts from Bridges on the Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson Anthology , 'Messages'
