i'm still recovering from four days of continuous drinking, rock n'roll, and various other shenanigans so i can't get too detailed here but i wanted to drop a line about a few great bands.

i don't have to talk about NERD, y'all know they are badass. the show was incredible and so much fun! probably about an hour or so, and they played after an amazing lou reed tribute in which lou actually came out, but NERD had no problem pleasing the audience.

check out the rascals, the wombats, and the whip. they're all from liverpool and they all have their own different style...so much fun! oh, and those peabodys were also great (they're a texas band, i think austin).

the wombats were kind of catchy brit-pop a la blur but not carbon copies of any existing band. you may have even heard their song "lets dance to joy division" already as it's kind of popular.

the whip are an electro rock kind of thing. nothing new here and kind of remiscent of the faint or a more electro suede or something but SO MUCH FUN! we danced a lot to these guys and they totally got the full room engaged. even the bar area emptied during their set because everyone was watching and having a good time!

i haven't checked itunes out for any of these bands yet but i'm sure they are there, you should go check it! anyway, another year of sxsw is gone and i'm already looking forward to next year!
