New Aaliyah material

Taken from www.VH1.com:

The first single from the new Aaliyah album premiered on the Internet on Monday morning and will be streaming for a week.

"Miss You" is among the three tracks currently featured on AOL's First Listen series.

The previously

unreleased ballad is from the first posthumous Aaliyah project, titled I Care 4 U and due December 10, according to a Blackground Records spokesperson.

Missy Elliott said recently the album will feature Aaliyah's musical peers finishing several songs the singer was working on before she died last fall (see "Missy Elliott Promises Joint Album With Eve, Aaliyah Tribute LP").

Portions of proceeds from I Care 4 U, which is also the title of Aaliyah's current single from her last, self-titled album, will go to the Aaliyah Memorial Fund, benefiting the Revlon UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program and Harlem's Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

it's available for $13.49 via pre-order here. the nice thing about it is that it's coming with a free dvd.

On December 10, 2002, Blackground Records will release I Care 4 U a definitive collection of music from megastar, Aaliyah. Included on the album will be Aaliyah’s greatest hits including “Try Again,” “Back and Forth,” “One In a Million,” “Are You That Somebody,” “At Your Best (You Are Love),” “More Than a Woman,” and “I Care 4 U” as well as 6 previously unreleased tracks.

The initial shipment of I Care 4 U will also contain a DVD of her biggest music videos like “Try Again” and “One In A Million.”

A portion of the proceeds from I Care 4 U will be donated to the Aaliyah Memorial Foundation which benefits the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program and Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Harlem.

I Care 4 U’s first single, an unreleased track entitled “Miss You,” which premiered on AOL’s First Listen on October 28, is a poignant ballad of love and loss.

Aaliyah’s pioneering sound, sultry voice and trend-setting style made her one of the most influential and innovative artists in popular music. I Care 4 U is a continuation of Aaliyah’s musical legacy and a chronicle of her short but legendary life in music.

Enjoy smile

P.S. You might want to check out today's MP3 downloads wink
