The Presets / This Boy's In Love (2008) The Presets / This Boy's In Love (2008) [ "This Boy's In Love" is the second single to surface from The Presets forthcoming May album Apocalypso and takes a departure from the more trendy, Ed Banger-esque lead single to a more synthpop approach. The single, with its unabashedly homoerotic short film, plays like a classically-trained homage to the Pet Shop Boys' entire career. It's every Disco album and the crux of Actually rolled into one. Lead vocalist Julian truly comes across as Neil Tennant in the heartbreak of it all. I have tickets to see them on June 4th and 5th in New York and cannot wait. Kind of like Kelis' Kaleidoscope or LRD's Darkdancer, it was an album that struck you at first listen and you knew that something different was happening. | |

The Jori Hulkkonen remix to this is great, too. Check that one out, definitely.
I just heard another leaked track called "A New Sky" and it's on some Orthodox Catholic chanting/otha ish. CRAZY track. They also performed a new track "Kicking and Screaming" last week live in London. :standing in a temple with dark robes in a circle: Overrrrr, and outside A Iiiii'm doused with liiight Overrrrr a newwwww skyyyyy I wonnderrrr...
