join an online radio forum like www.live365.com or www.lastfm.com and type in a name or genre as a listening preference. the stations available will start streaming artists that you might not have heard before, it's a wonderful way to find new music cool

u should also check out Erykah Badu's new album as well, if you haven't. That is a masterpiece right there.

Lenny Kravitz has a great new cd out.

Try some older stuff:

Dylan
Santana
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Marvin Gaye
Al Green

Great music that you can't go wrong with.

Many thanks... I'm after something 'new'... I enjoy most of the artists mentioned, but am finding it hard to get inspired by much that's released right now.

Having moved to New Zealand in the last year or so, it's been a boon finding acts like The Mint Chicks and SJD, but I'm really struggling to find music that moves at the moment... if you know what I mean...

Will explore all mentioned... any other artists would be gratefully received.

You're in New Zealand? Cool! That's the home of Neil Finn, lead singer of my favorite band, Crowded House. Have you checked out Liam Finn's debut?

I was in Australia last year and I discovered a female artist by the name of Missy Higgins i can recommend her.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
