Christopher Cross---Vastly Underrrated?

I'm sorry but "Sailing" is the JAM!

Sailing - Christopher Cross

Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see
Believe me

It's not far to never-never land, no reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy of innocence again
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see
Believe me

CHORUS:
Sailing takes me away to where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Fantasy, it gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie, every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me?

CHORUS

Well it's not far back to sanity, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find serenity
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see
Believe me

CHORUS
All good things they say never last...

Man, I thought this thread would fly.

Consider the man's output:

"Ride Like the Wind"

"Arthur's Theme"

"Think of Laura"

and of course

"Sailing"

Okay, that's it. But these were four DAMN good songs. Just because a man hasn't had a hit in 25 years does not mean he did not impact music.
All good things they say never last...

Unfortunately, he got caught in the MTV looks over substance crossfire...

...He wasn't rail thin, wear makeup, sport a skinny tie or have a strange haircut.

He was a big mf with a high voice that sang nice Pop songs. Bad timing.

After Ride Like The Wind & The Aurthur Soundtrack, it was all she wrote for my man. However, he did get some residues from these guys when they re-recorded his song:

NSYNC-Sailing
