Parliament Funkadelic coming to your town.

This is a question for anyone who has seen George Clinton live within the last couple of years.

He's coming to my town, and I love the group. I also know that they are legendary in the shows they used to put on. However, tickets are relatively expensive for a crappy venue, and on that Rave2000 DVD, he looked a little weak.

So, are his shows still amazing? Is it worth paying $50.00 to see him in a crappy venue with bad sound? I saw Maceo at the venue, and although he was funky, the distorted speakers, and dark boring stage made me think the tickets were a bit pricy. I'm worried I'm gonna see a similar thing with Clinton.

thanks for the help!

It was a bit disappointing - way too many boring giutar solos and not enough funk. Not enough of the original members going around with him at the moment -
a bit like a Pfunk covers band!

I won't be going again !

IF U HAVE NEVER WITNESSED PFUNK LIVE THEN GO!!! THE BAND JAMS THA SHIT OUT OF THOSE GROOVES AND BELIEVE ME EACH JAM IS A GROOVE THAT USUALLY ENDS UP INTO 2 OR 3 OTHER SONGS NONSTOP. NO THEY DON'T HAVE ALL OF THE ORIGINAL PFUNK MEMBERS BUT GEORGE ROLLS WITH SOME OF THE BEST MUSICIANS THAT KEEP THE FUNK COOKING. OTHER MEMBERS SUCH AS MICHAEL HAMPTON, GRADY DAVIS, GREG THOMAS HAVE BEEN THERE SINCE THE 70'S AND THE OTHERS HAVE BEEN FROM THE 80'S AND EARLY 90'S ALL VETERANS OF THE P. U SHOULD ENJOY YOURSELF AND THEY USUALYY PLAY 3 TO 4 HRS. LONG!!!

I always go. Every LA/OC County show. They are: my STONES, my LED ZEP, my BEATLES.
I am right now in the midst of gaining entry to reboard the Mothership. Copped a ride in Anaheim and LA. Beaming up in Claremont tonight at 8:30 PM.

OOO Mother Pee FUNK!!!
