U Orgers are pretty good at this. So here's one 4 'ya. Is this song about Bob's breakup with his wife? If there was ever a breakup? Generally his lyrics are always either about himself or something that he had been through, so I figured that maybe he and wife seperated back when this came out...

Both the songs on the "Greatest Hits" were strong singles (if not potentail singles...I thought they had single releases).

The song's about Billy Mackenzie, deceased lead singer of Associates.

"Too much rush to talk to Billy" was a direct reference. Mackenzie committed suicide in 1997. Robert and Billy were friends, and the song's about not having made the time to see each other again before Billy was gone.

There were also talks of a musical collaboration before his death. If you haven't heard of Associates, please correct that. You won't be sorry.
