Has anyone ever heard the "Laverne & Shirley Sing" album?

I didn't realize such a thing existed until last weekend, when I stumbled across a CD of it in a wrecka stow. I didn't have the guts to take a chance on it, though if I'd have found it on vinyl I would have swooped right in on it - at the very least, it'd be kitschy fun in a record frame. nod

Soooo....has anyone ever heard this gem? It looks to be a collection of old-timey covers from the 40s and 50s, with maybe a couple of comedy skits thrown in. The only review I found was on amazon.com, and they said Penny Marshall sings like a goose. lol

I have the Lenny & the Squigtones album, and it's actually very entertaining...of course, it SHOULD be, since the band is basically all the dudes who would go on to be "Spinal Tap"...but uh, yeah...this is a far cry from "Spinal Tap"...

While we're on the subject, does anyone have any favorite crazy/bizarre/silly tv tie-in albums?

If I ever find this on vinyl,I'm gonna buy it lol You know I'm a 70s fanatic,I love stuff like this. Not so long ago,I found the first album by The Brady Bunch and yes,I bought it.

I remember in the mid-70s,Fonzie of "Happy Days" had his own album too.I saw it in the record stroes back then. That might another cool 70s item to have.

I believe both Captain Kirk & Spock put out albums during the 60s. William Shatners take on the Beatles Lucy in the Sky is hilarious.Leonard Nimoy devoted a song about Bilbo Baggins (The Hobbit) and I remember seeing Lt.Uhuru doing some funk number on a 70s TV show from a special about William Shatner nuts . I'm sure you can find all of this on Youtube.

Unaware, but not shocking. seems like nothings changed, todays actors are next weeks pop stars, and vice versa. ....."Shazam" I remember seeing Jim Neighbors "Surprise, surprise, surprise!". peddling his albums on tv back in the day.... "gaaaaawl-ly". lol
