Love that. My mother used to wear the shit out of that record...I was actually thinking of getting a cd copy for memory's sake

I LOVE that song. I heard the songs years back when I was a kid and then I found it on iTunes a few years ago. I'm so glad I did cause that song is FIYAH! It's my favorite Aretha song. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I was 18 and I remember Uh oh...did you have that romantic someone that you could identify the song with? I can imagine an 18 year old girl being a little, er, uh 'romantic' thinking about her new sweetie to this I think I was too young to know everything the song was saying at the time...but from my teenage fantasy world I understood enough of it though

You just gotta shake your head when you hear this quality and then check what these no-singing "R&B" wannabes get away with today. According to Luther, this was a first take performance by Aretha. And Marcus Miller should get just as much credit for co-writing/producing that track. Supposedly Luther & Marcus put the song together during a break on SNL. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 3/13/08 20:04pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I have to admit I really dig this song... I didn't @ first listen. It took awhile before I played this puppy in the club, after that it was on, and in the mix...It wasn't that the crowd didn't like it...just me. [Edited 3/13/08 21:01pm]

Superb track.
Fun lyrics. Catchy melody, not only on the chorus. Nice production: the track is juicy yet not over produced (like for example Kylie's "WOW"). Vocals of the chain. Other great songs from that period: Aretha Franklin - Get It Right http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related ARETHA FRANKLIN - Who's Zoomin Who (starts at 1:00) http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related [Edited 3/13/08 20:17pm] I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

"Just my daydream" is my favorite track on the album. My favorite from the album is (It's Just) Your Love. I like the song "Love Me Right",which was the second single Luther was the ideal producer for Aretha. He supplied her with some excellent material.

Oops I might have something else on my mind [Edited 3/13/08 4:08am] I always dug her transition into R&Bish dance pop. "Who's Zoomin' Who" was awesome [Edited 3/15/08 7:15am]

I'm inclined to agree with you on this one. Since this song was released in '82 then, it is technically during the wind down of the disco era. [Edited 3/15/08 9:54am]
