It's disappointing the way she's letting eveyone else control her career now.

Albums don’t last the way they used to. If you drop an album today and then start touring 6 months later, unless that album is really strong and kicking out successful singles, there’s going to be a big lull that may or may not be overcome.

This whole thread is like being over at P:M&M. People dogging Prince and then defending him, but this is much more entertaining. All I need is some popcorn!

Oh and for Janet and her sales, I'd love for this CD to sell more but you know what, it is what it is. I helped her by going to Best Buy and getting the CD on the first day and I will continue till she stops making CD's. I hope she does more promos for the CD and that she really tours cause that's going to really help her. She should release Luv as a single. It's a hit but Island needs to push the crap out of the song for that to happen. All I can do is sit, watch and hope for the best. I'm rooting for ya Janet!

Although I love this track and 2nite (I am and old house head), if she wanted another pop hit, she should have went with Luv or So Much Betta. I think at this stage of Janet's game, she has nothing more to prove-her accomplishments are etched in stone and she is making music for her fans and just for the love of it. I think it may do better in other countries where dance music still rules the top 10.

The moment her album came out it was on Limewire. You could download the whole thing for free, so the fact that she still is selling copies is a good thing. Same can be said for every artist out today. With internet downloading, if they can sell more than 50,000 copies the first week out, they are doing a good job in my opinion. I would have rathered her have released "LUV" after "Feedback", but she released "Rock With U", so . Personally, I don't know why it matters if an artist has a flop or not because the record label is the one pocketing the majority of the money. If Janet tours, I'm sure she won't be playing to empty chairs and the majority of that money is going into her pocket, so fuck the album sales and put out a kick-ass tour, Janet.
