Footage of Cyndi's Gig Last Night in Australia Is Already On Youtube Some fan must have filmed this and rushed straight home to put it online. She's got herself a new wig and it looks great. She's doing a new song and raising hell as always. Great performance. I'm hyped for the new album. I just hope she finds time to tour the UK.

aren't you the one that was upset a couple months ago because it is a rumoured dance pop "gay" album? You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Funny how everyone is doing a "dance album" these days.I heard that even Beyonce wants to do a dance/club album next time around. In any case,Cyndi's dance album is due in June, these are some of the tracks that will appear on the album: "Set Your Heart" (first single) "Still With Me" "The Other Side Of Me" "Edge Of The Earth" "Same Old Fucking Story" "Grab A Hold" Oddly enough,I found this info on a fansite devoted to another popular dance music diva, lol. | |

I've heard enough good songs to make me optimistic. Even the lead single "Set Your Heart" (released in May), which has a "dance" sound to it is a great track, even if it's not as great as some of the others I've heard. At the end of the day, the genre is less important than the material (i.e. the songs themselves). She performed "Set Your Heart" at the White Party a few months back and kicked ass. I'm convinced she's the greatest popular performer alive today, male or female. Here's a clip. I love this. This is really just a list of new songs she's performed over the last few years. We can't be sure all of those songs will wind up on the final album. I really hope that "Still With Me" and "The Other Side" get on there as they are GREAT! I'm sure "Grab A Hold" will make it too, which I'll be grateful for. I haven't heard "Edge of the Earth", but I've heard "Same Old Fucking Story", and I pray to the Lord Jehovah that she buries that trashy piece of shit in a vault somewhere and burns it. It is crap! It's the embodiment of my worst fears for the album. It gets by on the repeated use of the word "fuck" over a dance beat. It's the kind of lazy writing I'd expect from Madonna, not Cyndi. Most inexcusably it has no melody. She described the stuff she's done with the dance oriented producers as "rhythmic" which is a worry if it means non-melodic junk like "Same Old Fucking Story". Still, let's hold hands and pray for the best shall we? “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”
