She's starting to resemble a waxwork isn't she? I saw a clip of the ceremony on TV this morning and she is gonna rival MJ pretty soon for scariness.

She looks very awful, I just can't stop lol-ing when I look at the pics! lol

Im the first to say out of the box that I HATE MADONNA'S MUSIC, I always thought business wise she was brill, hell i even gave her the feminist power props, but now with this new face and those cheek cutlets shes just becoming another aging celebrity that feels they have to fight the natural progression of skin.

Its truly a shame that even the strongest of women can't embrace the aging process .

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2008:

Justin Timberlake inductes Madonna into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Holiday Popper Madonna - who could't prepare a performance for the show - rather asked six-time Rock Hall nominees and Raw Power rockers Iggy & The Stooges to perform some of her pop songs.

I haven't seen it either. It's just totally insane that my man - Lou Reed still hasn't been inducted while Cohen hummed himself into The Hall. lol

Headlines: J.T. DROPS PANTS 4 MADONNA

Madonna Needles Justin Timberlake

"People always ask if she is the control freak people say she is. Hell yeah! We had a recording session in London and I wasn't feeling well. She said: 'Would you like a B12 shot?' She reached into her handbag, pulled a Ziplock bag of B12 syringes and says: 'Drop 'em.' I don't know what you say to that, so I dropped my pants. She gave me the shot in my ass. It was one of the greatest days of my life. That is what Madonna will always be to us. The shot in the ass when we really need it."

-- Justin Timberlake, introducing Madonna, at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame ceremony

I know Billy Joel said that this event was much cooler back before it was televised on a channel that does little more with music now than occasionally make fun of it (VH1).

But that doesn't help anyone but music insiders who would get such an exclusive invite.

And, besides, that unedited, almost 4-hour version is about as loose and live as it gets on commericial television for those lucky few that get VH1 Classic.

You want to see bad? That's what this show will become if it ever has to appeal to the same wide audience that loves their phones and tones.

And hope can be found in both The Dave Clark Five and The Ventures, as they've been eligible for induction for 20 and 24 years respectively.

And neither group is really known for great albums, but rather for producing a great body of work.

And in the case of The Ventures, probably also because they're considered among the best in a very narrow genre (instrumental rock) and because of longevity.

What is the criteria for being inducted? It can't be just for being around for 25 yrs, otherwise they would have inducted the Osmonds.

You have to have had a historical and cultural significance to popular music (albeit it being all covered under the blanket term "rock and roll", not necessarily "rock music" per se).
