WOW! This is such a gorgeous album, for the music alone. Goldfrapp must have listened to a lot of Donovan while they were making this.

Just bought this, and although a striking shift in tone and purpose following Supernature, this is truly a great piece of work. Alison's voice is achingly beautiful. If anyone can even begin to replicate the emotional resonance I have with Stevie Nicks or Annie Lennox, it's probably her.

I'm a little Goldfrapped out from Mike's previous threads, but this will most likely be my album of the year.

I'm with you on that. I've really connected with it. I'd love to see how they will pull this one live.
