I'm sorry, but I LOVE a good old skool MAZE concert wave

Dude - their drummer has a shoe shine business in my building! No kidding!

His name is Rick. He's gone for days at a time, and I was worried that he was sick. But it turned out he was playing concerts.

How cool is that?!?

highfive I love old school hip hop shows, especially when the crowd is into and everyone starts singing the lyrics and you can't even hear the artist. lol

Oh well
If you guys think these shows are stale, you should try the crap they serve up in New Zealand, what do we get lets see .... Boney M for the 10th time since 1992 (Liz Mitchell version, the other three are "new members" they change with each tour.
Last year The Drifters okay decent group but arent they like 75.

Who else, Whitesnake, Kiss, George Benson (Ok he was still quite good). And who now, Duran Duran yet again and then Leo Sayer!!!!! Are they fucking serious
Its obvious, you only play New Zealand when no one else wnats you

Hey, hey, HEEEEY!

You can't include George Benson in this group whofarted. Dude, it's

George.
Benson. deal

smile

gonna see George Benson Sarurday!

I heard that. Soundsystem can make or break a concert.

There are a few of those shows scheduled for L.A. this year.
War (That means Lonnie Jordan and some other dudes)
Tierra

Tierra is always great.I've seen them in concert numerous times.Unfortunately,I can't say the same for War.I saw them last summer and it was just Lonnie Jordan with a bunch of new guys disbelief Very disappoiting show.To make matters worse, they spent their last hour doing a lengthy band introduction thing, which took up too much time. They didn't do many of the songs I really wanted to hear, like "The World Is A Ghetto" and "Summer".

June 7th

KC & The Sunshine Band
The Hues Corporation
Evelyn Champagne King
Musique
The Solid Gold Dancers
w/Deney Terrio

This is exactly the type of oldies show I want to see....one that focuses on disco artists.I don't know about seeing the Solid Gold dancers, though (lol). Can't see why they're on the bill.

August 9th

Morris Day
S.O.S. Band
Zapp
Midnight Star
Con Funk Shun

This kind of show plays in my area every summer. It usually features a similar line-up.Teena Marie (your favorite artist, lol) appeared at a recent show.

They're even stacking up New Wave bands

August 5th

The Human League
Belinda Carlisle
ABC
Dead or Alive
Naked Eyes

Add The Fixx to the line-up and I'd go a show like that lol

Don't even get me started, I'm a die hard WAR baby.
If you want to see and hear the real WAR check out the Lowrider Band. There's 4 original members of WAR but they can't use the name for legal reasons...damn shame. I've heard both bands live...Lonnie Jordan and his tribute band don't hold a candle to the Lowriders.

The last I heard they'll be touring this spring. Got my fingers crossed.

eek OOOH! That sounds like a good one! Did he sing any of his LTD stuff? I would love to hear him do "Back In Love Again" live music
I saw Jeffrey with Rachelle Ferrell two years ago. He did Back In Love Again, Love Ballad, and Concentrate on You. He sounded and looked great.

Now you ladies know I had to go to find some modern day Jeffery on youtube, right? lol . He still sounds great nod. I was just listening to Love Ballad on my ipod when I left the house this morning cool

...and Rachelle...oh my gawd...the cut of all cuts is Nothin.Has.Ever.Felt.Like.This...with Welcome To My Love coming in at a close second music
