I heard this track last night for the first time in a while and was reminded of how good the song is. Of course this was a massive hit in early '98 (at least where I live). I do remember another song from Anouk's album being popular at the time, "It's So Hard" but I haven't really heard any stuff from her since then.
But yeah, great song and of course the fact that she's a beautiful gal doesn't hurt either.

I remember "Nobody's Wife" being played a lot on MTV Europe back in the day. This is when most people in Europe were watching the same version of MTV, but today almost every country in Europe has a localized MTV. In fact, Iceland (where I live) is probably one of the few countries in Europe that still receives MTV Europe.
And I also remember the song being very popular on the radio. Of course I can't speak about its popularity in other countries, but I'm guessing she was quite familiar to the MTV audience.
