George Michael performing "somebody to love" http://youtube.com/watch?v=8c7x2JD_j-0
Just watching him and Elton John on Live Aid reminded me how good he is live. So I thought I'd watch his killer performance of Queens "somebody to love". Luckily, its shown quite alot in the UK, and it can be heard on Queens greatest hits III (pretty much the only reason why I bothered to buy it, at about 50p LOL) George tore it up!

He did.
Say what you want about him and his "questionable" choices of places to have sex...but, I've always said that he'd be a very suitable replacement for Freddie if Queen ever really got back together.

I read once that Freddy had written this for Areatha Franklin. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Really? It would have to of been re-arranged LOL, as its typically Queen in its (over) production. I guess I can see it though. Wern't there rumours George was gonna tour with the remaining members of Queen?

Wern't there rumours George was gonna tour with the remaining members of Queen? There were rumours during George's hiatus and court battles with SONY that he would do a Queen+George Michael type tour, but nothing never came together, i think mainly because around that time the members werent ready to do anything, and than by the time 1995 rolled around and "made in heaven" was released and than the final "Queen" song with John Deacon on it, "No one But you" was released in 1997, George had gone back to Sony and solo stuff, Queen were laying low again (may and taylor) and than got together with Paul Rodgers. As much as I am not a fan of hers, it has that gospel feel that she is famous for. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I like Paul Rogers, but I would never see a concert with him fronting. I got "heaven for everyone" on greatest hits 3. Its a good song. Freddie sounds good on it. Not got round to getting "made in heaven" yet though.
