I dig Last Exit to an extent, picking up as they do a little from Brotzman's earlier classic 'Machine Gun' (not the Hendrix). But for me Sonny Sharrock's own album 'Ask the Ages'; produced by Laswell, with Elvin Jones on drums and Pharoah Sanders on tenor is just great, modern jazz of the highest order.

Now that's "PUNK"!
Sonny Sharrock: "See, I don't play chords..." "I'm a horn player with a really fucked up axe." tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Gotta admit, I didn't enjoy that at all...
Might be cause I was just listening to The Main Ingredient's version of 'I Just Don't Want To Be Lonely' and jumped from that to this [Edited 3/6/08 21:32pm] It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
