I didn't see it, but I'm sure nothing will compare to her version with Prince lol:
I thought she did really well tonight, I really liked the duet with Mark Ronson? She seems a lot more 'together' now, thank God!

I thought she was shit, awful vocals, and proved what a charisma vacuum she is.

I thought she was frikkin awful too. There's way too much crack flowing around her brain. She was an absolute mess, which is a pity because her albums are good, it's just that when she performs live she kinda ruins everything

i thought she was fab, has an amazing stage prescence, but i do think the acoustics at the venue were shit

She is NOT an associated artist.
If every artist that has played with Prince was an "associated artist", then we'd have 2 scramble back and forth from "other music" to "associated artists" constantly. ANYWAY... She was alright. Something is definitely missing though, and she shouldn't try 2 improvise 2 much. "He's a musician's musician..."

jeezus christ, it's too soon for her to perform, she just spent weeks vomiting her guts out after coming off an iv drip in hospital...who's frickin'idea was that to have her do 2 shows in 2 weeks time?
of course it was a shitty performance, she's recovering from a HEROIN addiction. i'm sorry but she's being rushed into recovery and being rushed back into the grind, and i don't think that's helpful to an addict of that magnitude at all. i have seen her so many times pre-american fame, i know what a kid like that is capable of vocally. scatting and improvisation used to be her best asset. she needs to recover first, get weaned off methadone, then get a coach to get her chops back into shape... that is, if the label suits would stop trying to cash in on her commercial success and let her be already. but business being business i somehow don't forsee that happening... and btw, what the heck is she doing in the associated artists forum? i'll never understand why as soon as prince utters the name of another artist they are suddenly deemed a protege of his

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw the thread. It's like putting Joan Osbourne over in here. I know P did a version of "One Of Us" but so what? SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

When this thread appeared, I kept saying to myself, some individual is going out on a limb with the associated title.

I guess as I was the offender..... I would think an associated artist is someone who has been in his band, or that he has developed and brought to fame rather than just someone that he has sung with.....or commented on!
