Success is different things to different people, with each person having the right to measure success. It's all a matter of how you look at it. But if you wanna go down this road, answer these questions:

How come MJ doesn't play hardly any instruments on his albums, whereas Prince plays most or all on most of his discography?

How come MJ always looks like he uses the exact same stock of dance moves, whereas Prince always manages to look fresh and spontaneous?

How come MJ hasn't written one tenth the songs for other artists that Prince has?

Prince has written probably more than 2,000 songs in his career - can MJ even scratch the surface in that respect?

I could go on, but I think my point is clear. An album selling a lot doesn't garner my respect unless it is well crafted.
