I'm not exactly sure how he does it, I gotta ask him some day for details lol

One trick I learned from this cat is, that if there are like old price tags that are 'stuck' on the cover, you can iron the cover to get the price tag off smile
You can also use a blow dryer.

whew ..... cool...from the Save The Vinyl Coalition. lol

He's been dealing with vinyl for ages so I reckon he has come up with some washing technique that actually works lol
A Finnish music magazine actually did a piece about it lol
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I remember going into one of my favorite spots and say the owner with a can of Ronsonol lighter fluid and a stack of wax and cleaning cloths and I wanted to ask him what was he doing with the lighter fluid confused , but it was pretty obvious.

cool... Yup, I tried some things in the past to keep the moisture in the vinyl, that were a bit silly.. like polish oils and different household cleaners.... only on vinyl that was bound for the trash bends. Hey, the only way to find out is by your experiments or someone else's.

If you're really serious about getting into the vinyl arts, I might suggest upgrading to a better turntable with the ability to adjust tracking weight of the tonearm, a replaceable cartridge and a tonearm counter weight.

A few relatively inexpensive examples.

...Pro-Ject Debut III - $299

...Rega P1 - $395

Then there's always something like the...

...AVID - ACUTUS REFERENCE for $25,000 wink

Seriously though, you don't want your turntable to act like a meat grinder on your precious vinyl.

Real hi-fi unfortunately costs many thousands of pounds. Its insane.

My record player is OK, but I got good cd player and amp though. Found the amp down a car boot sale (swap meat equivilent). Amazinly, its a pretty decent amp.

would scare the shit out of me when i was a little boy it was so loud. lol
These were the record players where you had to put a quarter on top of the
stylus to keep it from scratching. Brings back memories.
