1. Pussy Cat Dolls 2. Limp Bizkit 3. Linkin Park 4, Rhianna 5. All Death Metal 6. Vengaboys 7, Crazy frog 8. Bjork 9. Michael McDonald 10. Spice girls and all spin offs/ solo albums I've heard it said, that 'Sporty Spice' was the only one of the group who could actually sing. Haven't been listening to too much Spice Girls lately so I can't verify that Oh and Akon is an annoying useless cunt who can't sing Sporty spice definitely could sing, she's quite a powerful singer too. Baby also has a lovely voice. And I even think scary and ginger had quite good voices too, at the very least they were unique and fun to listen to. I'm willing to bet most people who say they can't sing have barely even listened to them.

i hate kelly clarkson's singing. there. i said it.
i think she has the potential of having a really good singing voice, though whenever i've seen her sing on TV, it's like someone told her that shouting everything means good singing, and she has absolutely no range other than SHOUTING EVERYTHING SHE SINGS!!!! okay, we get it. you can belt. contrast it with something. show us you know how to interpret a song and not just holler because people think it's impressive.

Michael Stipe Mark E. Smith from The Fall Maybe not the worst ever, but just really annoying to me. [Edited 3/5/08 3:43am] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

pop is obviously littered with people who technically can't sing but have charismatic vocal qualities - i.e. Lou Reed, Ozzy, Jagger etc. So my list is based on my own personal preferences
#1 - Jon Bon Jovi. Loves his baybaaaaay so much he'll spring a hernia for her at will 2 - Alicia Keys, mainly for her incessant soul-whine on "No-One". 3 - Timberlake, obviously. 4 - Eddie Vedder. Voice like gravy reheated in the microwave for the eighth time 5 - Johnny Cash. Just don't like it. Sorry 5 - Kanye West, when he does that kind of semi singing. 6 - Roger Daltrey 7 - Joe Elliot from Def Leppard. 8 - Anthony Kiedis. 9 - Phil Collins. His voice sounds exactly as he looks - a sweaty little english geezer who lives in a big house in Switzerland. 10 - David Crosby. The Golden Sound of Smugness

My votes go to: Ian Brown (ex-Stone Roses) Great band, great songs - But live, where we get to hear the truth....: terrible voice! Ringo Starr The most famous band ever let this man SING on their records...?! WTF?! BOTH of them. Mick Jagger and...FREDDY KRUEGER?! Oh no, wait, it's Keith Richards Seriously, Keef, GREAT songs (Before They Make Me Run, anyone...?) but....get someone else to sing 'em for you, eh? And Mick...? STOP PUTTING THAT SILLY VOICE ON DAMNIT! This is not an exit

I have seen this clip so many times but it still makes me laugh. Mind you up to the point when the PA cuts out, that is one of his better vocal perfomances! You really need to hear the bootlegs to find the worst ones, but he's I Am The Resurrection live, which is pretty bad.. http://nz.youtube.com/wat...BRNexKb-Cg [Edited 3/5/08 7:52am] This is not an exit

And did someone actually say Roger Daltery? Some of you people amaze me. Over time these "worst" threads begin to look strikingly similar to the "best" and vice versa. Live I find a lot of acts to be less than thrilling. But professionals working with other professionals in the studio is hardly ever bad. If I do find it annoying chances are better that it has something to do with how I'm reacting to that person, rather than their actual voice. But, then again, I'm not really a voice person, I'm a song person. If the song is great and the spirit of it was found, it really doesn't matter that the gravel road doesn't sound like a paved highway.

Is Joe Strummer considered a good singer by most people? I have no idea, although I can't see how that's even possible. (I'm not really a Clash fan obviously. I've tried though.) It's not about their influence as a band, but how he sings. An example: take "Rock the Casbah". He sounds horrible. On the radiator gri-i-i-i-lle... and They began to waaaa-a-a-il... He is so off-key it makes me cringe every time I hear it. I actually have to change the station if that one comes on the radio. You can't tell me he's singing in tune with the music. You can't tell me he's singing in tune with the music. there's a whole raft of british singers in the punk tradition - Joe Strummer, Ian Brown, Shaun Ryder, Mark E Smith, John Lydon, etc etc, that have a particularly aquired taste abroad. Jarvis falls into that bracket too MinnieG so its cool that you like him As for Ian Brown, his voice does jar like hell live sometimes, but the Stone Roses had something extra when you put it all together. They had magic
