As a whole Ray Of Light hasn't aged particularly well.
A lot of the production was just 2 gimmicky in hindsight. & Those UFO's flying by (or landing, not sure) annoy me. BUT most of the songs are fucking great & it has Drowned World/Substitute for Love on it.. The best Madonna song when Paradise(not 4 me) is having an off day. something like this i guess.. 1. American Life 2. Music 3. Madonna 4. Erotica 5. Like A Prayer ...Your coochie gonna swell up and fall apart...

I will forgive you. Yeah, I also think it has aged rather well. Still sounds phenomenal to me. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

1. Like a Prayer
2. Ray of Light 3. Bedtime Stories 4. True Blue 5. Erotica True Blue holds a special place in my heart and record collection, because it's the first album (cassette) that I ever owned. #6 would probably be Confessions or Madonna. Last place is 100% reserved to American Life. I think I have as many songs from AL on my iPod as I do from the Who's that Girl soundtrack. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Title track, Hollywood, I'm so stupid, Nobody knows me, X-tatic process, Die another day... ?? Nobody Knows Me Nothing Fails Die Another Day Easy Ride... are the only songs I can bear to listen to from that album; at the time, I'd never heard worse lyrics on a Madge release. Even the songs that I enjoy from there (Nobody Knows Me) are full of clunkers like guy/fly/sky and lives/child/died. I'll never be able to get past lyrics from American Life, I'm So Stuipid, Xstatic Process, Mother and Father, or the rest. Hollywood is just too half-baked for my taste; perhaps another few weeks of work might have made the track salvagable. Melodically, it was a decent song, but otherwise, the song just went nowhere. Confessions isn't a total step up lyrically, but it is better than the prior offering. Put it this way, other than "Die Another Day" and "Easy Ride", I enjoy the rest of the American Life songs LESS than "Can't Stop" and "Jimmy Jimmy", which I think are lyrically superior. No lie. Well, AL is full of naïve and child-like lyrics, but that's part of its charm: sonically, the album is impeccable...
