Update: The response to this album has been overwhelming, causing our
website to slow to a crawl. We THOUGHT we were ready, but...
We've been adding more servers to accommodate the unexpected demand and we expect to be running smoothly in the next few hours. In the meantime, if you've had any problems with downloads from the Ghosts site, don't worry - you'll be able to use your download link again when the site is more stable. Thanks everyone for making this such an
immediate success.

good. the servers are completely screwed over there. i'm guessing they'll come up with a crowd-pleasing solution to the download glitches soon enough, like the message says. nod

Same thing here. I was up until 1 am just trying to purchase the dang thing (I got the 2 CD version). I received the download link just a few minutes after it finally went through but then the download of the zipped file (the 320 version) took 6 hours, even on high speed connection! And after all that it won't unzip mad I have sent the support an email-- I'll let ya know if they have any solutions wink

wow - would have never expected an instrumental album from Trent but so far what I've heard I like!

Also, good to see Trent is making good on getting more music out there now that he's free of the labels!
The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U

It really is a very interesting album.. It is something you enjoy as a whole.. this really isn't something you cut on and skip through.. this is a very beautiful piece of work.. in a chaotic, dark kindof way..

it is very impressive.

I am totally with you about the Fragile instrumentals. But did you know that you get all 4 discs for just $5? Can't beat that.

Bfunkthe1 said:

Excellent!
First off, I love NIN when they do instrumentals. Part of the appeal of The Fragile for me.
Can I purchase just a 2-CD regular version? Or is it only available, hard copy wise, in more expensive deluxe versions?

Trent and others like him are proving just how unnecessary the music biz has ended up being to veteran artists. I hope this will provide the biz with a reminder of who is in charge, and I hope they know who will have the last laugh here...

Despite getting to the final order page, hitting "confirm" and getting a blank page, I got the email with the download link for the whole 4 volumes (I opted for the $10 version, which actually comes to $23 or so including shipping and handling for the physical CD's.....hate to know what the shipping is for the highest priced one with the vinyl and book!!!!!)

but no paypal receipt came in my email.....strange.....got no idea if the money went through or not.

I then spent over an hour trying to download the zip file to no avail. It would begin downloading and then quit after 4 or 5 MB. Damn it. Then I got the message saying download limit exceeded. Damn it again! Left it another day and still get the error message. For fucks sake!!!!!

Sent an email to the address given on the site. Lets hope this is all sorted by the morning! I don't think it was a good idea to put it all into one zip file, I chose the 320kbps MP3's as I'm getting the physicals anyway so have no need for the uncompressed audio on my hard drive.....but even so it was a zip file well over 300 MB! What about the folks opting for the FLAC? Is that gonna be one zip file as well??? That shit would be probably be over 2 GB, and they expect their servers to handle that????

Great fucking idea but the execution leaves something to be desired. At the very list split the 4 volumes into 4 individual zip files.
