My personal favorites from these 2 artist:

Lonnie Liston Smith:
Expansions and Visions of the New World

Roy Ayers:
Vibrations
Everybody Loves The Sunshine
A Tear To A Smile
Let's Do it
Try this compilation: "Destination Motherland, The Roy Ayers Anthology"..EXCELLENT!

Other artist like this who are really good, Check out Donald Byrd/Blackbyrds, Bobbi Humphreys, Ronnie Laws, Billy Cobham, Emuir Deodato, Jean Luc Ponty, Chick Corea & Bob James. Anything from 1974-1979/80 from these artist is excellent. Roy Ayers is my personal favorite. 70's Jazz fusion is the best!

I'm woefully under-versed in regard to both these artists, but I do have L.Liston Smith's Expansions. Very soulful and inspiring.
A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.
