Jump off the bandwagon folks...it's over for her.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I agree.

Well that would explain my fetish for freak manneguins. It's not important you be attracted to him. But the makeup isn't new, all her dancers have make-up on. It's a stage thing.

1. Who the hell is Gil?

2. Do we all agree that Gil needs to be fired?!?

Gil not pronouced like JILL or GILL, its GIL.

He is Janets friend, he was a dancer since 1997 at the Velvet Rope tour, and since Damita Jo hes been her choreographer.
Hes in her commercials for MTV. Hes the one who back talks Janet in the rehearsal one.

but her dancers look 16 tears old.. and she needs more adult looking, manly looking men, and feminine looking women as dancers.. because something about how her dancers looks just makes her image look a lil off....

her dancers look like highschool kids in a talent show.. did you see her perform on ellen... it was horrid...

I believe there was another man who help to choreograph during the janet era. He gave that signature dance move we all know and love in the video "If".

Anthony Thomas choreographed "Rhythm Nation" and "Miss You Much" with Janet. Mario (somebody) choreographed "If" with Tina Landon.

Tina and Shawnette Heard were two of her main choreographers during the "Velvet Rope" period. Since 2001, Gil Duadulou (I think that's how you spell his last name) has been her choreographer. Paula choreographed her for three of the videos, I don't know who choreographed her for "The Pleasure Principle" unless she did that herself after much emulating but that's anybody's guess.

Anthony Thomas was her best choreographer. That bit in bold there is not funny, Tim. Janet does nothing by herself. The guy who choreographed that video spoke about it at length in a great documentary called "Everybody Dance Now". Everyone here should watch that. His quotes were quite revealing. He said that "the person who was guiding her at the time" (Rene?) had decided Janet should dance alone in this video. He said "She looked at me as if to say "Can I do it?", and I said "If it's done right and choreographed to the T, then yeah". Notice how it was Rene's idea for her to dance alone and how the chreographer knew that every move would have to be choreographed for it to work. Janet cannot function without someone telling her what to do. Don't take my word for this. Check out the documentary. It focuses on James Brown, Cholly Atkins, MJ, Paula, Janet, Hammer, Rosie Perez, Vince Patterson, and C&C Music Factory. It's a great program.

They do look sloppy or off, whatever.

2006 Billboard music awards anyone? lol

I just think back to 20YO when Janet had those videos on her Myspace and they had the older Kids come in and show the newer generation how it's done. (I believe they danced to If)
Janet looked right at the camera and said "they(newer generation) just weren't getting it"
Part of me thinks they dumbed down the choreography for the dancer's sake confused

I personally think Janet should reunite with the older dancers. The younger ones don't get the choreography from back then.

Cholly Atkins talks about choreographing the Motown artists so I think you'll like it for that alone.

i saw janet rehearsing... and let me tell you... she was moving as slow as an old man... and why would someone choreograph a dance where someone is lying on the floor... and another person is using their two fingers to walk along janets side.... that is the most stupid dance move... I knew something was up when i saw the feedback video.. the dancing on the moon was off...

the video could have been awesome if she had a real talented choreographer...

i wish someone would tell Gil to step down....

Pretty much.

She's almost as deluded as Mike.

Thing is, she still has a chance, but it's like she just doesn't give a fuck because she has money, or she refuses to accept the reality of her situation.

It's sad watching the Jacksons fall off so damn hard. Shameful.

On top of it all we have greasy ass Jermaine constantly in our faces defending and explaining. lol

I think Janet's choreography has been weak ever since Tina Landon left. Just like her music really, All For You onwards, everything has been rubbish. She nearly got it back for Damita Jo, but it didn't last.

I like the stuff she did early on with Anthony and Lavelle did a little I think. Tina is my all time favorite. When Shawnette was on board it took a little getting use to but I liked it.

This I can't get with so far. And I hate the outfits of sleeveless dress shirts and skinny ties. Ties? The whole 25 back up dancers or her 'kids', is tired. Thriller has come and gone and people are still rocking dance crews like they're about to battle.

Two or three like Tina Turner or maybe five way back there somewhere is enough. It would be nice to see her just hold her own with a mic or a headset and do a little more than just walk back and forth across the stage and striking the standard pose of straight legs, right hip jutted outward, and the lean. If she's not going to pick up a guitar she better do something. I remember (some) fans being bored on the last tour. What's she gonna do this time around?
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
