Cyndi Lauper : "Who Let In The Rain" Live

Apparently, this performance was unplanned. Cyndi just started singing it 'cos someone in the audience requested it. You can see her turn to the guitar player to get her to start playing after a few lines. Despite the lack of rehearsal, this is a lovely rendition of a really beautiful song. Bravo.

I love that song. Seeing her live was one of the best concert experiences of my life. I'm really looking forward to her new album.

highfive Ain't it the truth? Right now, she's in a league all by herself. A total gem.

She's such an amazing talent. I love this song and the album it's on. I was surprised it wasn't a big hit for her back when it was released.

I just heard the Shine version on Youtube the other day, and I have to say it's the most pointless re-recording I've ever heard. They didn't even change the arrangement so God knows why they wasted time recording it. This impromptu live version is much better.

btw, this song shows why Cyndi is one of the most underrated songwriters. This is a really poignant portrait of a relationship breakdown. Very few songwriters can express these things without resorting to cliche. The melody is gorgeous too. cool

eek GTFOH! That's crazy. She co-produced the original herself and it sounded great. Damn, Cyndi. confuse

Cyndi never forgave JV for betraying Madonna's trust...Cyndi had a lesbian liason with hagdonna in the 80's (they shared acessories...)
